Appointment of Principal Accounting Officer

On April 15, 2022, the board of directors of Oportun Financial Corporation (the "Company") appointed Mr. Casey Mueller, who currently serves as the Company's Global Controller, to serve as the Company's Principal Accounting Officer. Mr. Mueller is 40 years old and has served as Global Controller since joining the Company in 2018. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Mueller held various leadership roles of increasing scope and responsibility within finance at OneMain Financial from 2013 to 2018. Mr. Mueller also previously served as Audit Manager at Deloitte LLP, a public accounting firm, which currently serves as our auditor. Mr. Mueller is a Certified Public Accountant and received a B.S. in Accounting and Masters of Accountancy from Brigham Young University.

Effective immediately, Mr. Mueller will assume the Principal Accounting Officer role in addition to his existing duties. There is no arrangement or understanding between Mr. Mueller and any other person pursuant to which he was selected as the Principal Accounting Officer. There are no family relationships between any director or executive officer and Mr. Mueller. Additionally, there are no transactions involving the Company and Mr. Mueller that the Company would be required to report pursuant to Item 404(a) of Regulation S-K.
